I bought one years ago and for some reason never really used it, when I went to look for it - it was gone :-(
We recently installed laminate flooring in the living room, long, large hallway and large kitchen of our second home. After mentally reconnecting with the SH Mop and reading the positive reviews, I ordered two of them (one for my vacation home and one for my residence) and a dozen terry covers - 6 to be used at my home. The new flooring was a bit dirty after it was installed, and I decided to use both of the Sh Mops - my husband sprayed a mixture of 1/8 of cup of white vinegar and one quart of plain, using a light misting over a small area, and immediately Sh Moped it to remove the dirt. I was right behind him, moping the damp floor with the second SH Mop.
It went so fast and we did all of the floors in no time., much faster than using one mop and changing it more often. It was so much faster and easier with the two of us working as a team. We changed terry covers several times.
I had been told by a company that sells them online or via telephone, that I shouldn't use bleach in the washing machine when washing the covers, because over time the bleach would weaken the elastic. He also said not of dry them all of the time in the dryer, as that too weakens the the elastic.
I have one of my probably 15 year old covers, but the elastic had been gone for years. I always dried in the dryer. I still use it as a regular furniture dust rag and it is as good as new.
So, now I wash the covers in the washing machine and hang them up to dry, either inside of outside depending on the weather.
One day I will have to do the floor alone - and I will find out how much harder it would be for one person and two mops .... but for now, dear hubby is a life and time saver.
I am going to order two more SH mops for my residence and leave two at the vacation home.
You can get them cheaper by ordering from the manfacuter - google and you'll find them - the shipping is much cheaper too. There is also another site, Floor Clean or Cleaning, their prices are even cheaper than the manufacturer. I am going to order from them this time.

I only researched this online before I bought it to use on my new hardwood floors. My husband was afraid that the vacuum would scratch them. I didn't purchase additional covers because the shipping cost was already high (shipping doubles the cost). I'm glad, as I find I'm not using the mop as often as I thought. It may be good for open spaces, but with lots of furniture to go around, it's simply easier to just vacuum--I can reach smaller spaces with the crevice tool. Also, after purchasing I have found several local alternatives (O-Cedar, Quickie, Rubbermaid) that look like they would work just as well for half the price(not paying shipping). The only difference I see is that these use a synthetic dust-cover; the Sh-Mop's is cotton. I can live with that. I think that the replacement covers for these mops will also fit the Sh-Mop. So yes, it's a good product; just evaluate how you'll be using it before you buy. I would definitely not spend $24 for it again for my use.

I read all the reviews and decided to give it a try. As others say, a great mop. Seems so obvious that it's better for your wood floors to be cleaned this way than to rub dirty water around on them, leaving them to air dry. I'm using the Bono wood floor cleaner and having great results. It's not meant to make the floors shiny, just clean. If you have a matte finish, then you'll get clean, matte-finished floors. I would guess that anything that makes your floors "glisten" probably has oil or wax in it and is thus not good for them.

Since I have 6 kids, I know a thing or two about dirty floors and needing an efficient way to clean them. This mop has been my favorite since the first time I used it almost 15 years ago. That was after using string mops, sponge mops, etc. for 20 years previously. With Sh-Mop, you simply start with a clean cover that you wet and wring (takes 10 seconds). I keep my Lysol cleaner in a spray bottle that has both a spray or stream setting on the nozzle- standard cleaning spray bottle. Then I stream the cleaner onto a patch of floor (like 1/4th of my kitchen) and go over it. Move to next patch, etc. If the cover looks pretty soiled then just remove it and turn it inside out and work on the other side. When that side is dirty too, then slip it off. I usually slip on on a clean one at the end and go over the floor with clear water. They machine wash great and last for years- saves money over buying disposable covers for those look alikes at the grocery store(which came out after Sh-Mop...) If I am doing my whole downstairs sometimes it can take 3-4 covers before I am done (4 boys). I have about a dozen so I am never caught without clean ones. PLUS the job goes really fast since the surface area is so large. No wringing! No streaking like sponge mops. No spilled mop water from someone bumping the bucket!
Bottom line: If you want a cleaner, faster, easier, cheaper way to clean your floors, try Sh-Mop!
(And no, nobody in my family works for Sh-Mop!)

Convenient cloths are machine washable, which is nice. The only thing it's not great for is scrubbing. But this is my only mop and I'm happy with my floors.
