We just moved into a house with mostly hardwoods! I don't usually do reviews but I love this little machine! I had to let you all know! Wow! We have a Lab and 3 kids and there are always crumbs, hair, dirt, etc! This hoover is fabulous and so easy to grab and use. I have not had any problems with the battery. I did notice that it is a little loosey, goosey in the base and the light is not always on. It must sit just right. but I still have not had any problems with it charging or running out of charge. I am so glad I spent the extra money. I tried a dirt devil before that and it was a lemon! I took it back.

I've tried almost all the cordless vacs, see my reviews on them. They stopped working after some use due to two problems:
1) The battery can no longer hold a charge.
2) The filter is easily blocked.
This vac solved these two problems. The battery is charged off the vac, this is a must for any cordless. This way, even if the battery refuses to work somehow, I can simply swap another one. Otherwise, waiting for 15 hours to be able to use it again is absolutely not acceptable.
The filter design is the only one I've seen that really works, can never be blocked. This is also a must. Otherwise, the already low sucking power of cordless vacs will become nothing in few minutes.
Thanking to the good filter design, clean the cup and the filter are both very easy and never get my hands dirty. I've not seen any vac is like this, corded or cordless. Just this feature alone, is worth every penny.
I only wish the battery last more than 12 minutes, but a second battery should do it. Although sucking power is higher than other cordless, still much lower than corded.
Overall, this is so far the only vac that's worth of buying, corded or cordless. The designer actually put some good thoughts into his design, seldom to see these days as everybody is only into fast money instead of hard work.

I like this product because it looks fancy and is comfortable. But, power is more weak than I expected. I tried to clean my carpet floor, but it didn't absorbed all materials.

light - battery lasts just long enough to get about 3 rooms done which keeps me from marathon cleaning. Very pleased with the product

The concept here is great, but the execution fails. The unit itself is light and easy to use. It also has acceptable pick up ability. However, THE BATTERY IS HORRIBLE. 15 minutes of use for a 3 hour charge is not worth the price and a second battery is $70. I contacted Hoover twice via email and have not received a response.
Bottom line is, if you want to clean 1 room, the unit is great. If you want to clean more, forget it. Hoover needs to use better quality batteries and/or a larger pack to provide users with more cleaning capacity for the amount of money spent on this thing. Presently, the cordless feature doesn't make up for the frustration that occurs when the battery fails so quickly. We're looking at competitors models to replace this inadequate, over priced dissapointment.
