After searching for a strong electric broom with a dust cup and not a cylindrical filter, I only found choices online, not in actual stores. This product is very substanially built and really has good cleaning power on both rugs and bare floors. Thanks to Hoover for making it available!

My husband and I bought this vacuum after we got married for our one bedroom apartment. We have all wood floors with a couple of big area rugs. We also have 2 cats who like to lay on everything.
This vacuum picks up everything! The area rugs look like new, the couch is totally cat hair free and our wood floors are spotless! We love this vacuum and are SOOOO happy with our purchase!

After having this vacuum for about 6 months I was at first satisfied but not so much now. I have a 2 bedroom apartment with hardwood in the living room and carpet in the bedrooms. This vacuum overheats and cuts off before I can finish the 2nd bedroom. It takes forever to cut back on. It makes so much noise I thought something was wrong with it until I read other users complaining as well. The beater brush has to be constantly de-tangled of the carpet fibers which get caught in it. Cleaning the dust cup is an absolutely nasty affair and has to be done after vacuuming each room. As for the positives...it does clean relatively well when it is working.

I purchased the Hoover vacuum and was very happy at first. It picks up dirt remarkably; however, I returned the first one I ordered because the cord was not secure with the outlet. Each time I moved the cord it would stop working as it was not securely plugged into outlet.
The second one I received worked great for about a week and then the switch broke. I could not vacuum in the hard wood mode.
The vacuum also gets very hot.

This vac has greatly improved my life! I have a large area (hard floors) to clean, and it had become a real chore dragging out my major canister vacuum each time I needed to clean...(let me insert here that we are a home with several cats, and vacuuming is an ongoing thing). I have another lightweight vac, but it failed to pick up dry cat food, bird seed, (we have a small parrot, too) and cat litter from the floor without going over and over the material, and then it often did not pick up.
The Flair S2220 with Power Nozzle is an answer to my cleaning prayers! The first time I used it, it was so efficient, lightweight, and much quieter than my other vacs. It picked up everything, even on the edges. I love the fact that it stands on its own when you need to stop for a minute. The filter is visable, so you can see when it needs to be emptied...easy and quick to do. The power nozzle is great, and I have used it on other areas in the house which are carpeted. It does a great job for quick cleaning.
To sum up...the Flair has lightened my workload, is a great product, and I highly recommend it.
